If I was a rich girl - August Wishlist.

Basically what I would have bought this month if I wasn't poverty stricken.

1. Retro Printed Dress

This dress probably won't be to everyone's taste but I'm seriously in love with it. I'd like to get back into the habit of wearing dresses during the day and what better way to begin than with this work of art? The print reminds me of the prints seen in the D&G A/W collection this year which many of you know I'm obsessed with and it also has Baroque influences which is another huge trend for this season. At $36, it isn't even expensive in the slightest but with grad/moving out I haven't had any money to buy clothes but any surprise windfall will result in me owning this dress...watch this space.

2. Lulu Guinness Black Doll Face Fifi Clutch

I love the signature Lulu Guinness doll face and I think it works best on a box clutch. One side features the eyes open and the back has them closed with a teardrop. It's too cute, I need it.

3.Karl Faux Leather Pleated Skirt

I don't see how I could have managed to buy another leather item without having to convince my mother that I'm not a dominatrix that is going to be traipsing around in head to toe suits of it as soon as I've escaped back to Dublin. For the record, that isn't my plan but this skirt is an absolute beauty and we all need a little Lagerfeld in our life.

4. The Authentic Boardwalk Photobooth 

I want this for parties in my new house because I always forget to take pictures with my camera.

5.Candy Heart Charm Necklace

I could spend hours browsing Etsy and recently came across this necklace. I like to think it reflects my personality pretty well. Does anyone think the actual Love Heart sweets have gone very tame?

6. Nike Air Royalty Hi Tops

I've been overwearing my Vans, I need something brigher to lighten up all the dark colours I'll be wearing this season. Plus I've always been a sucker for polka dots.

7. Legs and Heels print bodycon skirt

One can never have too many novelty printed skirts.

8. Cath Kidston Antique Print Eiderdown

I'm moving out this week and if my college experience last year has thought me anything it's that I'll be once again living in fear of getting a gas bill because I've spent all your money on drink so instead I'll be freezing your ass off in a onesie and 17 pairs of socks during Winter. I think of this as a necessity. 

9. Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Hardcover Book

It's shocking how I don't already own this. Christmas, definitely.

10. Moschino Vintage Bomber Jacket

July Wishlist

1.Proenza Schouler PS1 Large Pony Satchel 

This bag actually makes me weak at the knees and if I came across a spare €2000 and something in the morning chances are I'd probably blow it all on this baby. An Italian made ponyhair and calfskin leather messenger style bag that is sure to go with everything and is the perfect size to carry around everywhere. Over two grand is a ludicrous price to pay for something you literally throw all your crap in but I get sick of using at the same handbag after a few weeks and grow to despise it but how could anyone get tired of this beautiful creation?

2. ASOS Alley Leather Flatform Chelsea Boots

I'm notoriously picky about boots and tend to just stick with my Docs all year round. Said Docs are +10 years old and have survived milestones such as Oxegen and numerous camping trips in their lifespan so naturally enough they've seen better days. Chelsea boots were huge on the high street last A/W but with the Irish weather, it's doesn't seem like we'll be prancing around in flip flops anytime soon so these are great for everyday wear and I personally would even wear them on nights out. 

3. Miu Miu Embellished-Collar Printed Crepe Dress

Simply because it's Miu Miu, shamelessly pretty, costs nearly a grand and this is a wishlist!

4. Antoni & Alison t-shirt

I think this is vital to my being.

5. Topshop Ombre Floral Kimono

Sick to death of wearing heavy jackets on summer nights out? I am. Usually I just throw on my leather jacket  without even thinking about it but this is a much lighter, prettier alternative. This year everything from hair to shirts seem to be ombred and with the monochrome floral pattern fading into black around the waist and bum area this is definitely a flattering piece! Even though it's from Topshop, does anyone else feel this looks super expensive?

6. Purple Denim Shorts

I live in denim shorts and opaque tights during the summer and have a lot of denim ones that I've made myself or customized and I adore the colour and fit of these. Tieing in with both the athletic and pastel trends that have been floating around this season, I think these are a far better alternative to your average Levi cutoffs that everyone seems to be wearing. These beauties are from a Dublin based vintage clothing and accessories webstore 9 Crow Street and are unfortunately sold out but they have an amazing supply of customized shorts!

7. Givenchy Angular cat eye acetate optical glasses 

I need new glasses in a bad way and I'm (ahem) positive that these would give me perfect 20/20

8. Alexander McQueen Box Clutch

If only the biggest problem in life was deciding which Alexander McQueen clutch to buy. While I definitely have more pertinent issues (and couldn't afford one even if I sold all my entire wardrobe) I still dedicate an obscene amount of time obsessing over my favourite. This is the current flavor of the month.
